Phil and Abby Dorroll

Phil and Abby are the heart behind Good Energy, a beautiful reflection of their love for family, adventure, and life on the water. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Phil is an accomplished entrepreneur and founder of Go Energies, a leading fuel management company, and Ekos, a software company specializing in fleet, fuel, and EV management solutions. His business success paved the way for Good Energy, a name that embodies the spirit they bring to every journey.
Abby leads the charter experience, ensuring every guest feels at home from the moment they step aboard. As a family of three, the Dorrolls often spend their own time aboard Good Energy, cruising along the East Coast and creating memories together. They believe the best moments in life happen on the water, and they’re excited to share that experience with you.

The Crew

EJ and Marisa Baracco

Captain EJ Baracco and Marisa are the team who bring Good Energy to life every day, built on years of hands-on, live-aboard charter experience they earned together long before this business existed.

Before Good Energy, EJ and Marisa built and ran Cruising with La Cruz, a top-rated Wilmington-area charter business. For five years, they lived full-time aboard their catamaran, running the business side by side and crafting unforgettable experiences for their guests, until they left the life afloat to start their family.

EJ, a lifelong boater with a USCG 100-ton license, has since gone on to gain extensive experience operating vessels of all sizes up and down the East Coast. Marisa now handles operations, guest communications, and digital presence, keeping everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

Together, EJ and Marisa run the day-to-day program at Good Energy, from the helm to the inbox, bringing the same partnership, expertise, and love of life on the water that built their first charter business into a top-rated success.
